When and Why to Printand Use Pocket Folders

Pocket folders, also known as presentation folders, are one of the best ways to hold and organize your marketing and promotional materials when you are presenting them to a client. There is a multitude of uses for pocket folders, whether it is to introduce a new product or service, or to package your standard promotional materials as a press kit or information packet. When and why should you print pocket folders? First of all, you need to assess the amount of promotional materials that you currently give out to customers. If you have more than two or three promotional pieces or have multiple sheets of paper, a pocket folder can come in handy to organize everything into one convenient packet. Your customer will appreciate not having to deal with loose brochures, papers, cards and booklets.

Trade shows

If you ever show off your wares or services at trade shows, then pocket folders are almost essential to your overall marketing presentation. When someone shows interest in your product, organization, or service, you can simply hand them a package with all of your information already organized inside. You can insert any marketing materials, such as booklets, brochures, flyers, business cards, notepads, stickers or any other paraphernalia that will fit in the pockets. This is crucial at trade shows, because it is easy for attendees to get everything mixed up when all the items are loose, because they are being handed many items constantly throughout the show.

Press kits

Do you ever have any need for contacting the media on a regular basis? Then a pocket folder will be helpful in organizing your marketing and public relations materials. You can package your press releases along with any other pertinent information about your business or organization, and make it easier for your press contact to find the info they’re looking for. A pocket folder can make their work easier, which in turn benefits your company when it comes to getting press coverage.

Customer service

Pocket folders are a great way to focus on customer service after the sale. For example, if the product you are selling has an instruction manual or warranty information, a pocket folder can organize all of this for the consumer. Another example would be follow-up information for a service such as pest control – maybe a booklet on why pest control is important, along with promotional materials about your services and why they are beneficial.

Printing for presentation

It might be tempting to go for a plain-looking or generic folder, because all the important information is going inside, right? Not necessarily, because your folder can also become an important piece of marketing material in and of itself. Make the cover look good with a sharp design that includes your company or organization logo, and feel free to print and reinforce marketing messages or other information on the folder flaps or on the back of the folder. There’s no reason not to utilize this space to your advantage, as long as you don’t make it look too cluttered.
